Streetpass is yet another harmful feature on the 3DS, in fact it's the most dangerous. As such Nintendo should terminate this feature for all of our safety. This is because in order to use it, you have to go to an extremely treacherous place, the outside. So many horrible things can happen to you there. You could get struck by lightning, fall into a volcano, or attacked by a wild animal. Worse still is that little kids will probably think Streetpass means to run around the street as cars pass by, getting themselves run over. So yeah, with the way Nintendo's been going, disabling streetpass seems like the most logical step forward.

While they're at it, they should just take away online in general! No more Nintendo Network ID's, or Miiverse, or even online play! It's the perfect plan!

I believe you can disable it. I love the feature as I try desperately to find puzzle pieces.

You guys would be astonished if you knew how many people fall in volcanos because of streetpass, it happened to me twice!

However, it should be locked behind a 72 digit code that you have to get from each person before they can "street pass" with you. After that, you need to swap insurance information and the system should automatically check with the sex offenders website. Add to that a waiting period of one day and you should be good to go. Of course, the window of use should be something like 1-2 hours after approval, after which it shuts down and you have to start the process all over again.
