1) spend the time and resources to make sure the games they have already discussed are Nintendo quality games and are released this year and early next year- any of those games that are already finished or can be release as soon as possible

2) offer min sales guarantee s in order to get key 3rd party multi plats and or exclusives (ie defend your console Nintendo)

3) leverage your huge library on the E shop- they should be well on their way to get the whole library on the eshop (or close) ASAP - when they want to highlight certain games from that library then feature them as sale/discounts for the week or month- IMO there are some people who would buy the Wii U just to have access to their back catalogue- Include Gamecube and Wii titles too- not just the old stuff-

4) tighten up the hardware- improve bat life, make it so that you can use the game pad more than 1 to 1.5 rooms away- the range should be similar to a WIFI router AT LEAST

5) make games that will excite their base like Metroid, Star Fox etc.

6) increase their capacity to make more games as a company- so long as they don t overkill lke Mario, Nintendo can sell lots of games (enough ot make good money) even on inferior hardware

7) Advertise and do so intelligently- recently they have ramped up the advertising but it genrally sux

8) take care of your core and loyal fans- you treat them like SHit- just because some of them seem to enjoy it does not mean the rest of us do- you have run off many of your once loyal fans by treating them poorly

9) build up your level of trustworthiness in the market place- do this by saying you will do something that current and future Wii U owners will appreciate then actually dong it in the time frame you have given

10) act like The Wii U is a proud part of Nintendo and its heritage- not like it is some other companies console that you could not care less about-

PPS: when your mot loyal fans/wii u owners are starved for games and you spring a nice surpise on them like Earthbound- don t be penny wise and pound foolish by jacking the price up just because you can- those $3 will come back to you tenfold - I bought Earthbound but have bought little else on the E shop since

It's very simple, CHANGE THE F#@%ING name! Seriously, I would be willing to bet that had they used common sense and just named the Damn thing Wii 2, despite the lack of games, many a causal and soccer mom would have clued in that it was a completely different console and purchased it. I'm not foolish to believe that we would have seen Wii like sales but by end of Dec 2013 the scenario would have been more likely 10 mill than 5-6. The fact that I still have to explain to people that the Wii U is a new console (non core gamers) means there marketing (even this holiday season) has been and is still an absolute failure. No one outside of the gaming community knows what the hell it is and it's been out for a year.

I am however impressed with next years solid lineup and believe that alongside the unannounced games the Wii U will move at least 8 million consoles next year, so there is nothing else I believe they need to change.

Honest to god nothing should even save the WII U at this point. It's going to do worse than gamecube and it's pretty much headed that way according to sales data. The reason the PS360 was far from doomed was due to the fact that it had retained a large amount of audience from the 6th generation while a popular hit such as call of duty propelled them to where they are. 

I don't need to play the WII U to know about it's quality, all I need is the sales data to tell me that. If the games were truly great on the WII U then it shouldn't even be performing like this in the market. It makes me doubt that you are a representitive of the majority. 

1. Take a chill pill.
2. Wait until MK8 and Smash Bros. come out.
3. Play them.

I wasn't specifically talking about the content of the games. If you think I'm some hardcore gamer then you have me mistaken. Just because a game doesn't have the same content doesn't mean that I can't compare them on a genre by genre basis. Super mario 3D world has flopped compared to sunshine and that only means that the market thinks that it has less quality. 

WiiU Deluxe $200 with Wii Sports Club, Wii Fit U, Wii Party U and both NSMBU (with NSLU) and SM3Dworld.

What is worrying about it goijg to do though? If it fails it fails, the best thing is to trust Nintendo to make the right decisions and enjoy your purchase.

That is so unlogical. If you're going to base the quality of games on unlogical things, at least look on Metacritic. SM3DW has a 93, Wind Waker HD has a 90, and Pikmin 3 has an 87.
