LOL! I just got the 13 joke. And I have to agree with Kowen, especially the point where, "someone unable to find a ps4 in say the US or UK may buy a One instead?" I also thought this wasn't about total sales?

I figured some territories will be decided by how they can keep them supplied. I agree Sony is stretched thin to make a big enough impact in places like NA with demand being so high and supply so short for the ps4. However, I did notice xbones on sale again on amazon, so it seems MS is keeping in better supply to distribute to the masses. That could give them the edge they need.

You could also look at it as Sony getting a stronghold on markets before the xbone gets a chance. That will only work if they can produce enough consoles though, which they can not.

This works both ways tho, and MS say there console is eqully sold out world wide. 

X360 was (and is) huge in Poland at least in comparison to previous generations. Kinect is moving a lot of hardware, but x360 just like ps3 sells a lot to hardcore gamers. Now ps4 is outsold here hence SONY will grab some part of the market.

I think Sony prefers to beat Microsoft just enough in USA and UK, and dominate the rest. I'm not sure i will do the same if i was in that position, but it seems this is working like Sony wants...

Maybe they know in USA there is a timeframe where the only costumer you sell the console is the fanboy of each console, so you're only selling to your bases at the begining, but if you can take lead where Microsoft isn't selling the Xbox One, you will have the advantage forever.

I agree with u allot which is strange for a PS fan but i do agree with this.

The other countries will be provided with low stock but it's simply better to have exposure rather than none at all even if there only emerging markets.
