I am afraid it doesnt matter what they do with this game it will hardly be impressive ...there are just too many OUTSTANDING shooters out there to compete with . Even pushing the Wii real hard things like Halo 3 ,Killzone 2 ,Unreal 3 ,Gears of War,Call of Duty 4 ,Battlefield Bad Company ,Quake Wars are just too powerful and wont let a Wii game to impress us .Even not so famous games as Haze ,Turok ,The Darkness ,Prey 2 ,Fracture ,Half Life 2 Orange Box etc will give this game the run of its life if it wants to impress .

yes exactly. I never was into Halo, but I do know that some other game won't all of a sudden kill the games interest. It will sell just because it is Halo and nothing will stop it. Unless of course Bungie really screws up.

for nintendo theres never been a need for "halo killers" halo's has already been killed, by wii sports, and dussins of other nintendo games, nintendogs, NSMB, pokemon D/P, you get the idea.

First off why would anyone mention a Turok game when talking about Quality or Sales?

Anyways, in terms of widespread proven appeal I think the only games that Metroid really is in competition with is Halo 3 and Half Life 2. I expect Halo 3 will outsell Metriod Prime 3 by quite a large margin, but Half Life 2 will disapoint; HL2 has been released across many formats already and most of the real new content for the PS3/XBox 360 is multiplayer content which (IMO) is not that big of a draw for most people.

Metroid is a first person adventure...don´t compare it to those games plz ( some of the are excellent btw). And anyway, this game will sell faaar more than most of them ( Halo 3, Gears and maybe COD4 will sell more than it though), because this type of game isn´t the core genre of the Wii, so it will offer a different experience.

Metroid Prime can't be a Halo killer, nothing can be a Halo killer. Even games better than Halo can't be Halo killers.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be the _(insert any game you want)_ killer! And Metroid is a game on its own...many Wii users will buy it, and that's all that matters, really. With a user base of 8 million or whatever when Metroid comes out, it'll sell very well, regardless of Halo or FPSs on other systems. Also, HL2 should be on the PC only...I wish it was PC only.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

SSBM recently outsold Halo 2, so yes, Halo has been "killed", as it were.

Also, I liked Halo better when it was called "Marathon".

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

that is still a gamecube game with gloss on it. Ill say the gloss makes it looks better but still not on par with what the ps3 and 360 can do. Halo Killer lol this games dont sell that well, Will probably have lacking online( if it has any), And The game isnt fun IMO. And i hate halo and the xbox and that made me laugh
