With 2.1 million PS4s sold as of December 1st and an estimated 1.25 million sold in the US during the NPD’s reporting month of November, Sony released some stats today when it comes to the PS4′s sharing features (everything is as of December 9th, 2013):

There has been nearly 800,000 gameplay broadcasts so far.

There’s also been over 7.1 million spectate sessions via video Twitch and Ustream, totaling more than 20 million minutes of live gameplay streamed from the PS4.

Twitch is reporting that 10% of all content has come from the PS4 since it launched on November 15th/29th.

Ustream is reporting an average of 31 minutes of streaming per broadcaster.

Some of the most broadcasted games are Battlefield 4, Killzone: Shadow Fall, and Call of Duty: Ghosts.

People have pressed the Share button and accessed the Share Menu over 10.9 million times.

Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios, talked about the PS4:

PlayStation 4 is specifically designed so people can share their gaming experiences and interest in streaming live gameplay has surpassed our wildest expectations. We’re very excited to see gamers embrace live streaming from their PS4 system and we look forward to seeing how PlayStation gamers advance social gaming in the coming years.

Its a nice feature and everybody wants to show their game skills to all.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

I loved the people using old data to come up with the fact each usrr only pressed it 3 times. That doesnt factor in units that are sitting in closesg waiting for christmas or that some user franklgy dont give a shit about the feature. They alsoacted as if that stat was static and that was that but overtime that number will rise. Its already at 5times per user not taking into account the previous issues with that.

As for the poll. No, i havent hit the button yet. I only have three real life friends who have bought it so far (multiple still looking for one) so i really dont have a reason to. Though... i should start hitting it everytime i gams to bloat the stats and make haters hate.

Ive recorded a few games and taken a few screen shots. But I haven't shared much because of my Internet cap. When I get better internet next year ill broadcasting my games.

You will be able to hit that button in time. Guess there are a lot of people in the same situation, waiting for ther mates to join in the fun. Just shows that the stats are quite impressive even when so many people are still waiting to get there hands on a PS4. Those that do have one are making good use of that share button. :)

i share many of my best fifa goals on facebook :)
