Forums - Gaming - Worst Things To Happen In Gaming This Year

My list

1. VGX by far. It made the gaming industry look like a joke. Vagina Jokes,Rap Concert,Unprofessional Hosts,Developers who looked like they did'nt know anything. Just Awful.

2. Wii U game drought. As a Wii U owner it sucked big time. You PS4/Xbone guys will know the feeling soon.

3. GTA V online. Its no wonder Rockstar waited. All those perfect 10's would have gone to 9's or lower.

4. No true E3 press conference from Nintendo. I like the directs but announcing Mega Man, X, and the other stuff in front of a huge audience was a wasted opportunity by Nintendo.

5. Xbox One reveal - TV,TV,TV,TV,TV. I have had a 360 since launch and after one press conference I was off the Xbox train. I am not on the PS4 one yet either because they really haven't shown anything either, but Xbox clearly thinks I want a cable box.

SM3DW is going to sell over 1 million by years end so I would'nt really say that no one is buying it.  Its sold out on Amazon, Its Gamestops #7 item (not to mention that the Mario Bundle is the #3 item right now) and a few stores I have been to were sold out.   Its already at 600k sold and from what the e-shop charts tell us, including Digital it is at atleast 650k.

That's why I put no one in quotes. These thingies; "". I was being sarcastic... kind of.

Lmao guess I took it too literally.   Its like how "everyone" bought Infamous 2 (1.4 mil). SYSTEM SELLER

PS3 beating 360 in sales

"Please understand"
Lackluster PS4 launch
The Xbone
Microtransactions
VGX
Games being delayed
Shortages
Continuing poor PS Vita sales
Retro's big announcement
Ryse Son of Rome

Off the top of my head.

Wii U not taking off. Final defense broken.

Around the Network

No Metroid game announcement
The XBox One reveal and MS's higher ups' behaviour and messaging
GT6 being a PS3 title
The ever increasing trend for microtransactions in games.
Hardcore Nintendo fans being in denial about the Wii U's horsepower
The VGX
Marcus Beer
Michael Pachter becoming more and more an attention seeking troll

It sad to see so many video game developer put microtransactions & useless DLC into their game. It like the game their selling is not enough and wanted to rip-off gamer more. Sad to see nowaday gaming industry go to see this route. Miss the PS2/Gamecube/Original Xbox era.

When I learned that Street FIghter X Tekken had the DLC right on the disc, but it was locked, I was flaming pissed.  I sold that game and hav'nt bought a capcom game since.   DLC like  RDR Undead Nightmare and Super Luigi U are well worth the money though, so thankfully not every company thinks that consumers should just fork over cash for nothing.
