I agree with you, the Last of Us is such an amazing game and really affected me in a way that no other game has. I'm not pretending that GTA V is not an amazing game, but the Last of Us is even more special

On the other hand, I really don't know why Tomb Raider is there, never played Mario and Bioshock Infinite had large sized issues that neither GTA V nor the Last of Us had

Both are really good games but for me I much rather see The Last of Us win. IMO it was a much better game all around and I had more fun playing it. Although its pretty obvious GTA V would be winning most GOTY awards just due to the fact a lot more people have played it, it was the biggest game ever, and its muliplatform.

GOTY candidates are overhyped games. Nothing different, altough GTA V deserves it, if anything, for being much, much better than GTA IV.
