How the hell was this thing released with that turd of an app? I think it works about 20% of the time. It doesn't even have the option to download the songs so you can play them locally. So when it does work then sometimes it stops halfway through the song to buffer more. I hope they patch in MP3 support soon. Or fix that terrible app.

It's the only way you can have custom soundtracks. It pretty much means that you can't have custom soundtracks right now.

Even the Playstation Vita has the regular Music App, and has the folders and seamlessly works with the Playstation 3.

Forcing Music Unlimited on it's customers, which doesn't even have half the songs iTunes does, is very bad. I can't count one reason to use it when iTunes/Ripping music on the PS3 from CD's gives you true customization.

Now, if a Music Unlimited Subscription also gave you access to full MP3 support, ripping CD's and putting your own music on the console, it would be far more worth it.

I survived a whole gen without them.

Yeah most other things are solid at the very least. MU is just unuseable. At least KZ had an awesome soundtrack so I didn't mind too much. But yeah MP3 needs to be added along with dlna.

what is the point to download songs locally when ps4 currently doesn't support any file formates?   think about it...

sony has been very clear about the matter.   ..they will support mp3 and CDs and other music services,.. just not a launch simply because in their list of priorities they though other features would be more important.   are you pissed at that???  ...then i suggest not being an early adopter as this sort of limitation early on is pretty par for the course for early adopters.
