I'll be honest, I have no desire to shit on GT6 and I look forward to playing it. I already have it on hold at Redbox...

Forza owned the 7th gen for racing. It owned it!

They are both 81 on metacritic, Gt6 has way more content and is a better sim. Massive thread backfire.

He is talking about Forza 3 and 4 on 360

And GT5 outsold both combined so why really won? metacritic is a broken useless metric imo. Different games reviewed different times by different reviewers, with some arbitrary number score.....  Sorry if I don't put much stock into it.

You commented too damn fast and missed my edit

OT: I wonder why the Pug changed the the OP LMAO

Well, I for one find it incredibly difficult to argue against the facts put forward by Metacritic.

Can we have a sales comparison?

lol you'd like that. We all know how that would end but I would link that to a meh movie that did amazing in the box office because it had great marketing and a fan following. Movie Green Lanturn comes to mind lol.

Metacritic is just a number, they do give you access to every review. While it would be silly to read every one, even just a few fro your favite sites should give you a fair idea of why the number is what it is.

Wat...that movie was a borderline flop, critically and commercially

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic:  $116,601,172    53.0%
Foreign:  $103,250,000    47.0%
Worldwide:  $219,851,172

Thought that number was more then the production cost? Also one must factor in any sales of video and renting when it releases

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

That wouldnt fit the agenda as gt5 has out sold 3 and 4 combined. with  gt6 the two combined  will out sell the whole forza franchise..  ther is no competition, the players gave have spoken.

lol ok. We got it. GT sells very well. Doesn't make it necessarily the better one though. That you can't even consider that possibility amuses me.

Like saying Call of Duty is better then Battlefield because of sales alone. Try saying that in a FPS thread and not get laughed out of it. lol

We're not talking about shoots where the masses are casual players.

Op disappeared lol.

Borderline, not even close it was a pure bomb it had a $200 million dollar budget and that doesn't include marketing.  In order to be a borderline flop it would have had to make at least close to $400 million world wide at the box office.

Same principle though. A car enthusiest probably still doesn't have the money to own most of the cars they drive in the game and will never drive them in their lifetime. Shooter gamers won't probably ever fire the guns they like in the game. Just saying your attempted deflection doesn't take away that you are using majority opinion as your be all, end all argument.

We know GT is arguably a slightly better sim, but Forza is a better overall package, hence its percieved better overall critical scores.

Well in the case of Driving SIMULATORS Gran Turismo is still far ahead of Forza.
This is a fact - Forza is nowhere near as a die hard Simulator as Gran Turismo and will never be just cause Turn10 isn't so fixated on this feeling.
And i can understand if Reviewers have more Fun with Forza which plays a lot easier and faster than GT where you have to learn and invest tons of hours.
I remember the GT5 Reviews where they all said the game didn't have that and that while it was unlocked in the later and higher driving levels.
Reviewers NEVER played that far and still put out a score - They have no clue about Gran Turismo and how much time you can and have to put into these games till you see everything.
Im pretty sure Reviewers didn't put 200 hours into GT6
Bad for the casual with no clue about driving?Maybe - Gran Turismo is still one of the few franchises who don't have to give a f*** about casuals and their needs cause it will sell its 10+ Million easily. Its a hardcore driving SIMULATOR and some don't understand this.
Forza isn't one and maybe/probably reviewers with their lack of attention are more amused with it.

And Weather Effects - GT6 is already better than available NextGen Racing "Simulators" i guess haha

You simply can't say that anymore with the absence of content in Forza 5. GT6 has like 5 times the content, or more (tracks, cars). Add in that GT6 will allow you to create your own tracks in various ways and it gets worse

Not to mention the various weather effects, astronomy, moon driving etc.

You are right. I cant speak for F5. I am speaking about the 7th gen Forzas and GTs.
