it's more than just game crashes though, netcode on the game sucks...

The game crashes every half an hour on PC. When me and my friend were trying to do multiplayer, he crashed 5 times before it finally started working.... is the console version any better?

from what i've heard, the game doesn't crash quite as often on consoles, but connectivity is a mess, as well as hit detection, and frame-rate drops.

If they only did this before the game launched. Now they'll shower people with patch after patch. Was checking it out at friend's house on PS4 and it was bit of a mess. Crashes before the match ends, all that shooting and flying rendered useless. Just like the game.

agreed, when the game DOES work, it's an amazing experience which is a shame because it doesn't work often

Rightfully so. As of the latest patch my friend's game keeps crashing every 20 seconds upon loading a MP match. Absolutely unacceptable.

I learned my lesson with 3 and didn't buy 4. The quality of the series after BC2 has gone completely downhill. Oddly enough, it was when EA started marketing themselves as the COD killer, focusing on Premium membership, renting servers and rushing everything that this started. Battlefield isn't COD and never will or should be, so it shouldn't be following their business model. I predicted this happening all they way back before 3, and I still stand by my statements that if these games had launched flawlessly and sold a bit more EA would be annualizing this game. These problems did not happen with BF2, 2142, or the Bad Company games and that is one of many reasons why they are MUCH better games than 3 and 4...5-10 million copies of a quality game people like being sold isn't good enough for them so they now crank out unfinished unfun trash every 1.5 years to try and get the COD casuals money. Good luck with that EA. They have basically destroyed one of the best game franchises of all time with the last 2 entries...I will never pay you for a premium membership to anything or by 4 or anything after it unless you do some much needed re focusing. Not normally a complainer but I have been a huge fan of this series from 1942 up until BC2.

i get that they've kinda gone away from the older games, but bf4, when it works, is one of the best games in the series. it's just that the games have released as unpolished messes, and that is DICE's fault, not EA's.
