Sales numbers mean jack for the first 5 months of PS4 and Xbox One. They can only sell what they make. And both are sold out within hours of deliveries.

The test will be in 2-3years time.

Sales still mean more than these totally random stats they keep releasing.

Hate to break it to you. Microsoft has been releasing these stats for 6 years. This is nothing new from Microsoft. I like the stats of man hours. Would be interesting to see how much PS4 is actually being used.

I know for me, my Xbox One is on as a media device connected to Live on average around 9 hours a day.

Its a MEDIA Device. Its NOT a Games Console. Richer Sounds in UK has Xbox Ones on sale. No PS4's. Its a popular media shop, TV's, Amplifiers etc. Not a games shop.

What do you expect from a Media device?

Fair enough id still rather sales data, than how many man hours there media device has spent idle.

Well, isn't that a nice bit of news to contrast with all the hate Xbox One has seen in the last several months :)
