PS2 done motion gaming before the wii or natal were announced.

There's a big, big difference between the eye toy and the Wii remote.

could still track things using what you held in your hand.

Still a big difference between a camera and a motion-sensitive controller.

both sense motion, just the methods are different.

anyway, its not like gyroscopes are innovative in any way. Nintendo were just the best at marketing them and making them cheap (even though later they had to sell attachments to make it better).

saying sony copied wii in motion gaming or remote play is just ignorant.

I didn't say anybody "copied" anybody. But let's be honest here, PS Move is clearly, blatantly a "me-too" of the Wiimote.

Not that that's a bad thing, may as well imitate the best.

Sorry if this issue is doubled here, I didn´t find it in any of the sections.
Feel free to lock it if this is the case

Sony never achieved to make something relevant with motion gaming. And the camera motion controls of the PS2 are totally imprecise.

Nintendo proved that motion controls with Wiimote+Nunchuk are a big plus for many kind of games (shooter, adventure, action-adventure, strategy ...) and they even integrated motion controls in genres you would never think that benefit that much from them (like Mario Galaxy).

It's a pointless discussion anyway because neither of those did all these things first.

PS4 Vita can just get better and better with future updates. The thing is Vita remote play works from different networks even miles away, WiiU does not.

Dupe indeed.

Locking.
