Knack dominates because of PS4 interest in people around the world, they need a game for their kids to play in their PS4 for the chirstmas which is served by Knack presentation and co-op elements, where Mario is not selling well because people are not interested in buying Wii U due to its weak 3rd Party support, weak hardware compared to PS4/Xbone and it doesn't has that many exclusives that warrant them to get one. But, PS4 shines in the features, power, next gen visuals, many 3rd party releases etc., and also indies and Sony studios games.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

Did you saw last chartz? Its hard to call Knack dominating when its sold 3 times less already, and the gap will only increase...

SM3DW 710k vs. Knack 270 k. Thats pretty much all there is to say. If Knack was a better game then I would bet that alot more people would have purchased it but the reality is that people who buy launch consoles are hardcore gamers (any console) and read reviews. My real question to you Sony fans out there is whether Knack will end up selling 1 million.
