Also, people who don't like the 8 point direction thing, haven't you guys noticed that you are changing directions much faster compared to 360 degree controls? It's just a different playing style and it actually offers faster turning. ^_^;

And it works perfectly with the camera layouts (2D or isometric).

"I mean I died and died on the last level for like 10 hours straight"
Are you saying, this game,Mario in 2013, is hard game?
Or do you just suck?
Because I would love to see even slightly hard Mario.Last one I played was on DS and I died maybe 2 times on whole game.

Last level is retarded if you start from scratch with no help, I figured out the bits little by little and the trigger buttons fucked me a lot along the way due to sweat.

100% completion after the game ran for 29:38 hours, according to the Wii U playlog. 182 deaths, but there's a good dozen unaccounted ones, because I just quit without saving a few times. About 20 deaths from Rosalina getting out of her bubble for one or the other reason and falling to death/being touched to death. 508 extra lives left, so you don't have to max out the count to get the fifth star on your save file.

You guys suck. That is all.

Screenshot or it didn't happen. =P

You act as if those stats are hard to believe.

These stats are actually pretty good. Especially considering the later levels.

There, I beat Champion's Road, the Beat Blocks and those damnable laser-rings being the worst parts by far.

It's a beautiful ending, the thank you message, like the timeless "Super Player" message in Super Mario World.

I will need some time to ruminate on exactly where this game will fall in my top 50 for next year

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I thought this was a sales thread due to disappointing NPD results :(

Well, it's not. There at least deserves to be some thread about this tremendous game that doesn't devolve into "Wii U should be discontinued/Iwata needs to be fired."

Began world 4 and i have died a good number of times already. Looks easy but it`s not! :D
Loving it, btw.

Aye, worlds 1 and 2 are a cakewalk, but the game shifts into 2nd gear at world 3 (though it more or less stays there through world 6). Worlds 7 and 8 are on their own difficulty level, then Star/Mushroom/Flower are all about equal (barring the last few levels in Flower).

Then, there's Champion's Road

I didn't particularly love 3DLand, is this game that much better? Seriously considering of re-buying a Wii U.
