1.Trying to map console buttons on a touch screen is not practical and takes up half the screen.
2. Micro transactions are dishonest and kids waste their parents money on them.
3,Trying to make console games on phones and tablets never works.

1. Only touch controls
2. No full scale games
3. Something I can't describe in words.
This discussion is ridiculous! I don’t even understand why you guys are trying to find childish remarks about mobile games. I mean, these are the future of gaming and it’s pretty obvious that gaming on the go is actually way trendier that being stuck in a living room with a $100 video game! Live and let live guys!

Some mobile games are good, but they will never offer the gameplay depth of PC/console gaming. the thing is most mobile devs are trying to emulate console/pc games when it comes to gameplay. they try to make it work. they try to make CoD clones when it will never really work. instead of making deep experiences using simple gameplay mechanices that mobiles only offer, they try make complicated games work with the limted input that mobile offers. we good see games like heavy rain and to the moon on mobile, and if they are done right and priced right they could be big. but mobile devs just want to make the next angry birds are try to make a CoD mobile clone |
I agree with everything you said. I can see the potential in it,but most mobile devs are just looking for quick cash grabs,in my opinion.
Touch controls. Theres no way it can support games that require precision.
Pricing model is only viable at extremely low prices. Cant support quality gaming at higher prices.
Its a fad. The people that buy the games buy them cause they are cheap and play them for 5 minutes before not touching them again. AKA the games suck and are designed to take money from fools.
No proper controls. I find touch screen and motion controls limit the gameplay without any buttons.
Also, since many have very expensive transactions and are cheap cash-ins.
If i wanted to play something in short bursts, i would just play Mario or something. Nintendo seems to be good at it.

That's what 3DS and Vita and every other gaming handheld ever made are for. Mobile games are often not worth our time at all and it's seems obvious to me why. But i actually didn't realise how crappy gaming was on an ipod touch until i went back to my PSP and eventually bought the Vita and 3DS. The difference in quality between mobiles and dedicated gaming handhelds is just huge and many people are really missing out on that now. Amazing what buttons can do, isn't it?

Shitty controls.
The games have even less substance than PS360 era games (most mediocre gen EVER)
Way to many shit games so I have no interest in trying to look for good ones. (to much hassle)
BONUS: I dont really like digital games at all.

-Most games are trash and so boring, tried them all, secret of mana, Final Fantasy 4-5/tactics, Chrono trigger, I guess that is why they call mobile games shit games X_X.
My problem with mobile gaming on smart-phones and such is that either the device is too big or the screen is too small.
