I think it started when I was a kid. My neighbor had a Genesis and I had a Super Nes. We didn't really talk much but somehow or another, he found out that I had a Super Nes and he wanted to trade for a little while. I sent him Super Mario World, Mario Kart, Street Fighter II, and a few other games that I can't remember. He sent me Streets of Rage 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, NBA Jam, and some games that I can't remember. I was having a great time. He wasn't. He was at my door early the next morning, wanting to get his console and games back.

I was a Sega hater but I have to admit, despite all of my Genesis bashing (How dare they do what Nintendon't!?), it was a good piece of hardware. I started renting a Genesis from the local video store after that.
