If it was a rpg spin off it would be ok,and i would  see many persona  fans buying the game  but not a dancing game, since this spin off look similar to Project Diva people will buy Project Diva games not this.

A rpg persona would also help vita more then this.

It would, true, but it's just that I don't know why you would expect that.

Never was there a Persona RPG that launched on a handheld first. The first one will be Persona Q, but that's just because they took the first series (that they have full access too) that lends itself well as a Persona game and is  (more or less) popular  on the system the game will be on. Same thing happened to the Vita, just that there, the game that lends best to a Persona makeover (that Sega have access to) is a dancing game. Both platforms really got the same treatment.

Etrian Odyssey already had a game on the 3DS, so they can take a lot of ressources from that project. The Vita, however, doesn't have much Sega/Atlus games to begin with, and thus, the best thing they thought of was taking a game that's already on Vita (Project Diva) and do what they'll do with Etrian Odyssey on the 3DS.

Besides, Persona 4 fits really well for a dancing game. I mean, Rise was an idol after all. In my opinion, it fits better than the BlazBlue crossover that is Arena, and even that turned out pretty good.

I understand your disappointment, but looking at it, a Persona RPG on the Vita (and only on the Vita) was and is extremely unlikely to happen. Again, it only happened on the 3DS since they already had an RPG style series that they could reskin. Nothing more, nothing less. Both games are just there to get some quick cash from the fans. That's they way they make business. Persona 5 is the only "real" (Persona) game they announced, and that is (as expected) on the PS3. And again, I'm pretty sure it'll arrive on the Vita sooner or later (as that means almost free money for Atlus/Sega).

I hope I don't sound to negative about these games. In fact, I'm more hyped about them than Persona 5, since I'd really only call me a Persona 4 fan at the moment (haven't tried out the other ones in the series yet), so more Persona 4 is better news to me than Persona 5.

Fans like persona because it is a rpg, making a spin off of persona with a diferent, every spin off sold less then main game in the serie,p4g sold impressively well for a remake in a small install base this sales should be anougth the Altus to make a main persona for psvita to thanks their fans, making always  port and remake in a console for me means they don't treat their fans well.

I don't see either Persona dancing generate more revenues then  amaking persona 5 multiplatform for ps3 and psv or making a rpg spin off, only time will tell us if iwhat i said is true or not.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Yes, Persona 5 would sell more than P4D on the Vita, that's for sure. However, releasing it on the Vita alongside the PS3 Version would be a bad idea, and they know that. I don't know of one person owning a Vita who doesn't own a PS3 AND is a Fan of the Persona series. Offering both versions at the same time would cut into each others sales. But since the fanbase is on Vita as well, they'll probably release an updated version of P5 at a later date, which would lead many people to buy the game twice, thus maximizing the revenue of the game. I'm almost 100% percent certain that, if the Vita doesn't die before (which I wouldn't assume seeing that it performs decently (for its standards) in Japan and Europe), P5 will be released on it at some point.

All that the Vita is going to get from the Persona series will be Ports/Remakes and spinoffs. It's not doing good enough for more, and again, a mainline game has never appeared on a handheld first or at the same time as the console version. They just want to give their Vita fanbase (which is overlapping with the PS3 one for quite a big chunk, I'd assume) some game to play, and a game like P4D is easier to make than a full RPG game (especially if the resources for the dancing game are already there, just as with PQ on the 3DS). They would have to base the game off of P4G or do it from scratch, and that would mean too much work or basically making it a mainline game.

And yeah, we'll see how P4D will do. It will probably be worse than what an RPG spin off might have done (we'll probably never be able to know that for sure), but it will not cost as much to make as well. In the end, the money Sega makes off of the game may be higher than it would have been with an RPG spinoff, and that's what counts to them.
