Forums - Gaming - 2014 gaming year seems to stink

As you may have notice or not, 2013 has been one of the most important and most exciting year in video games story we've seen for a long time.

Windwaker HD
Dragon Crown
Metal Gear Rising
Tomb Raider
Hotline Miami
Don't Starve
Guacamelee
Sly 4
Tearaway
GTA V
PS4 and XBOX ONE
The Last of us
Fez
Rayman Legends
Killzone Mercenary
We'll get Gran Turismo 6 too...

We got the best indie games, finest remake/reboot, great new AAA ip, new big home console announced...

Yeah all in all, 2013 was a perfect year. Period.

But mates and maties, the game released this year was at least announced a year ago, in 2012. We're almost at the end of 2013 and as hard as I try to see, beside Watch Dogs and DriveClub, I see nothing that good for the next year. Is it me missing something or is 2014 going to be a bland year for video games ?

Discuss.

WTF?

Destiny

Infamous

Watch dogs

Witcher 3

Dark Souls 2

Dragon Age

Thief

Halo

The order

Persona 5

Drive Club

The Crew

Titan fall

Uncharted (I think 2014)

Thats just a few..2014 is looking amazing, one of the better years ever.

Dark Souls 2, The Witcher 3, and FFX/X-2 already makes it a better year than 2013 by Bravely Default.

There are two problems with your logic.

2014 does indeed look epic.
Lack of Nintendo games on your list.

Fix. it.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

2014 looks amazing for all 3 home consoles at least.

and there is still MORE! VGA's is in a few weeks!

Smash Bros 4 is coming out in 2014 which means 2014 > every year before that and every year after it until a new smash comes out.

You are wrong.

The year of the localization (Tales; Atelier; Final Fantasy; Ys; Danganronpa etc.) is going to make 2014 a pretty expensive year for me.

Add in InFAMOUS; Destiny; Hotline Miami 2 and whatever else that hasn't been announced yet, and I've no reason to doubt that 2014 is going to be great.
