I completely agree. I thought they couldn't make a worse Final Fantasy than XI (ugh) and XII (which could have been decent, but wasn't), then Square-Enix does this. Then releases Final Fantasy XIV, which wasn't even finished. Then releases two sequels to XIII.

Could someone please remind me why I should be excited for Final Fantasy XV?

Is turning off auto-battle an option in your version of the game ( I'm assuming you're playing the English version R1). Because I always see people talking about the auto battle but never turn it off. I'm quite curious actually.

I used to think that Final Fantasy XII was a bad game, even though I played it for many many hours, beacuse it wasn't a proper 'Final Fantasy'. Actually it was different. Not excellent, but not bad neither.

After Final Fantasy XIII I lost any interest in the series.

You are probably hoping that it restores your faith in the franchise.

That would make me not much different from a Sonic fan, honestly.

I played it and thoroughly enjoyed it, I had no idea that it was so hated on until months later.

Its directed by the guy who did the Kingdome Hearts games.

I don't have a problem with Nomura directing, but nothing I've seen about FFXV has made me excited. FFXIII also had nice graphics and flashy combat, and I still disliked it immensely. It's going to take much more than that to impress me this time.
