Forums - Gaming - Xbox One vs PS4 Game Install Time Comparison (FIFA 14 Up)

Do you need double the space to download games on the PS4?

Oh well... :(

I guess it's the price to pay for kinect

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

When I saw who posted the thread, I was already quite sure which console would win LOL

Anyway, that's quite a disparity. Did anyone do a comparison on downloaded games? I'd like to see how they compete with Steam, which has almost no installation times. Since those new consoles are PCs, that would be a nice one to see.

Killzone already has me feeling spoiled.

First time I inserted the disc it booted up, then another 5-10 seconds and I was at the main menu screen.

I miss the days of waiting 20 minutes before I could play Devil May Cry or the long waits between chapters in Metal Gear Solid 4.

I miss the days of the PS2 where you could just play the game without even having to think about these things

Agreed console gaming used to be so simple. No day one patches, no massive installs. Just put the disc in and that's it.

That's why I consider Wii to be the last true console.

You mean Wii U.

you mean the no day one patch-Wii U with the "day one 24hours lasting update/patch"?

Your know what's better than snap mode i.e.?

a PC :D
