Forums - Gaming - So who Won the Calculator War? XBO or PS4

PS4

Resogun - 83
Killzone ShadowFall - 73
Knack - 56

Xbox One

Forza 5 - 82
Dead Rising 3 - 78
Killer Instinct - 73
Zoo Tycoon - 70
Ryse - 61
Crimson Dragon - 55
LocoCycle - 48

The Launch Calculator Wars has become World War 53 in Internet land and much like Canadia and Polar Bears roaming the streets tearing people's igloos down, the numbers has been a dissapointment with many games like Ryse and Knack.

Positives

Forza 5, Killer Instinct, Resogun, and Killzone Shadow Fall all did superb in Math Class at launch.

While Killer Instinct lacked content it was hinted by many reviewers that with the extra content that is arriving in January that it would have been in the 80s on metacritic.  It was praised for its gameplay which is a huge plus.

Forza 5 also managed to recieve an 82 without having as many tracks as Forza 4.  Thankfully the gameplay is still superb allowing it to have a good score.  Even though it is down compared to Forza 4 on calculator.com it still appears to be a good game and will be supported after launch.

Killzone ShadowFall has a great multiplayer.  Even though the story is apperently so so, the multiplayer managed to be great and shows why people love Killzone games. Plus it is pretty :3

Negatives

Knack and Ryse: Son of Rome

Knack is a game made by Cerny.  Unfortutely he left Crash Bandicoot in the 90s.

Ryse:  Son of Rome - Even though it showed off the power of Xbox One it also showed how uncreative Crytek is when it comes to gameplay.  Thanks again Crytek for putting graphics first and forgetting that gamers like gameplay as well.

The winner is?..................Damnit

We could agree on a draw, both launch lineups are nothing special. I call DRAW.

Loco Cycle sucked? But I was a firm believer that Twisted Pixel could do no wrong. The game looked bad but still. It's Twisted Pixel!

I don't know what to think anymore.

Draw according to the numbers but the only game I see here is killer instinct :P

^Yes that's me ripping it up in the GIF. :)

I'm happy to have resisted to all the hype and did not/will not buy one of these two system at launch. Between all these games there's only Dead Rising 3 that I want and maybe zoo tycoon to play with my girlfriend.

I maybe will buy a Wii U, it is looking more and more appealing to me and the only one who really worth it at the moment.

Not surprising that the 3 formerly Xbox 360/Kinect games are the lowest scoring Xbone launch games.

Still buying Ryse though, don't mind the low play length or "shallow" gameplay, looks great to me.

Aren't Lococycle and Zoo Tycoon also on 360? They shouldn't count. Hell if anything not counting them would increase the XBOne score.

Zoo Tycoon is, idk about Lococycle. I don't think so.

Flops everywhere.

Apparently PS4 has the best game, Xbox One has the worst game, and the averages are 70.6 - 66.7 in favor of PS4. The conclusion seems to be that Xbox One has more games but PS4 has the better games.
