Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One Can’t Display Available Hard Drive Space

What the hell? I have to install EVERYTHING but can't see my available harddrive space? Ridiculous. This is a standard feature I'd expect if I intended to buy the console.

Welcome to...1995? (pretty sure the PS1 showed you the available space on your Memcard) or alternatively MS-DOS 1.0, Microsoft :/

lol. How odd to leave out such a standard feature.

I bet this is to cover up the large footprint the OS and everything else is taking from the original 500gb.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

People are gonna find out anyway. It's not as if that's something they can keep hidden.

But Windows 8 does show me my harddrive space. What are you trying to say here? Having this most basic feature in Win8 doesn't excuse excluding it from Xbox1

I bet they add it in before anyone maxes out their hard drive. it's now launch, can anyone name 500 gigs worth od games worth buying for either the ps4 or xbox one RIGHT NOW?

Not 50gig 500gig.  So if you installed every launch game on a X1 or PS4 could you hit the 500gig mark?

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Let me give an example to illustrate why this is a ridiculous discussion. Working on a website for a client. It is a yearly subscription service. You know what we didnt add until about 11 months after the site launched? Wait for it. We didnt add the ability to renew the subscription. Such a key piece of functionality wasnt added until it was needed.
