Good Times!

One thing i will mention is that if anyone is interested in getting into this series, Millennium Girl is now the best entry point, assuming it's been released in your country. With story mode and auto-map feature you can get a good grasp of all the mechanics.

Rol's biased review threads are right. Good game, but an 8.5? No way.

I was kidding.  Rol's the one who named it like that though, so he should expect someone to reply as such.  Liked the review you linked though.  Just broke down everything and was more of a joke than anything, but there was no opinion on the matter so no bias.

I'm assuming you posted the Final Fantasy 13 review because it's showing on my PSN.  I'm forcing my self to finish the game because I think Lightning Returns looks pretty amazing.  While it has some good qualities, I don't think it's very good.  The only bias that could come from a review of Final Fantay 13 is a good scoring review that praises the game, so another game that has a lot of biased reviews, but atleast half of the people that have played it can admit that it's a poor game and don't get suckered into praising it because they're fans.

Typically I reserve the title of "objectively bad" for games that aren't very playable. But I do have a special dislike for games that marry disjointed narratives with high production values. Must be my anti-Hollywood bias. :)
