That IGN video told me everything I needed to know. 4/10 imo.

I'd watch a video from someone who actually knows what they are doing.......unless a bad review was what you wanted to see then yeah, look no further than the IGN guy.

So the review is bad and not the console?  Got it. The Sessler review didn't move the needle much for me either.

but 85% of the Xbox's consumer base is going to talk to the console in the same manner as the ign guy

Except there's actually a tutorial for Kinect and how to talk to it.

I´m disapointed MS didn´t maneged to put natural language processing for UI comands...

Well, I will have to thank the beta testers, when a buy the console next year for Halo, It will be a much better system.

Ok so for kinect to work properly we are going to have to learn how to properly speak to it. Theres no fun in that kinect was supposed to be quick and easy to use. It complete beats the purpose when you have to make pauses when talking to it. Anyways kinect is not the reason im excited for the x1 so I could careless makes that extra 100 dollars a pain.

Someday there will be an electronic device where you dont need to learn how to use it.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

After reading these reviews I really wonder how MS actually expects to gain market shares outside of the US. Most of these Apps are either not available outside of the US or only available in a hugely inferior version. I read through the available apps for Germany over the next months and they're a complete joke. I need none of these, I've better stuff on my Smartphone, much better stuff! If stuff like HBO wouldbe available for streaming (with some sort of monthly fee, like in the US), that would be a selling point, but we even have to pay for some free TV stations that I could just access with one click on my tv remote. Why would I do that?

There is almost nothing that'd make someone outside the US want to buy a XBO over a PS4 unfortunately. And if the consoles fails too hard outside of America it might hurt them badly. So they better step up their App game or this gen might be over really soon with their focus on multimedia, while delivering jack shit for most of the world. And don't get me started on us paying the same or even more for Live, while getting less.

Kind of what I expected. The system has a ton of great features with awesome potential, but it has a few problems that will hopefully be patched out in the future. Just like the Ps4, it gets a "don't buy yet rating" from most review sites. Thanks to all those buying the sytems now, so that my experience will be that much better later on.

this

Considering it's a new system and it seems like the most reviewers couldn't even manage to use Kinect on the Xbox 360, this is an awesome start.

It's just like starting any new interface, using voice commands when you aren't used to it takes a bit of learning. But once you are familiar it seems dreadfully assent when it isn't there.

You don't have to use it for everything, but when looking something up, just saying 'Xbox, Bing, Martin Scorsese' and seeing what you can get, and where to find it, you quickly expect it everywhere.

Sounds like this new Kinect and Xbox One really does deliver a good product. So excited for launch!

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

One detail I can't find anywhere:

On standby, does the X1 has the automatic wake-up distant feature of the PS4 with automatic game installs, game updates on background?

And also, while playing or app-ing, does the X1 has the backgound download? On PS4 apparently you can perfectly play your game and install 8 others stuff (apps/games) at the same time.

In short does the X1 has a similar stuff than the low powered ARM with 256MB?
