Forums - Gaming - Battlefield 4 PS4: Missing the most basic MP function. Squad team before starting a game.

It is so f'n difficult to get a group of 4 friends into the same party before a BF4 multiplayer game.  This sucks.  You can't party up before starting a game.  You have to invite people after starting a game which is a pain because if your squad fills up, you can't invite them.

For a multiplayer game, this is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.  In Killzone, at least you can party up before starting a game.

Am I missing something for party/squad feature for BF4 PS4?

It's not just the PS4, it's also for the PS3.

I have no idea why they got rid of this feature. The first thought was maybe something to do with the network being buggy at launch and EA wanting to lighten/lessen the load until people start leaving the game.

I don't think that's the case anymore. So my second idea is maybe EA wanted to make Battlelog more prominent somehow. But I see no reason why they couldn't have just integrated a squad setup within Battlelog.

Killzone has become our multiplayer game of choice because we can't party up

I can't figure out how to party up before game in killzone either. How did you do it?

Wow sounds like a terrible design decision.

Dice really dropped the ball on Battlefield 4.

Was it not the same with ps3?

Add your team mates to origin/battelog. Make a group chat.

Make sure your buddies are in your friendlist.

Somebody join a server, join the same server through "join" button next to your friend's name.

The game will auto balance the match to make sure you are all put in the same team and the same squad. :)
