I'm seeing alot of rpgs for the wii and alot of shooters for the ps3. Idk about the 360.

360 is up in the air, but the Wii will be dominated by Nintendo franchises (Brawl, MKWii) and some RPGs (Fragile looks awesome). The ps3 sadly seems to be heavy on the shooters, but it will be getting MGS4, LBP, and some cool RPGs (White Knight Story, Valkyrie of the Battlefield, Disgaea 3, Eternal Sonata port), so it won't be too bad.

The Wii's first year saw a lot of party games, but I'd like to think it was because those types of games are fast to make, and most developers were confused about what kinds of games Wii owners are interested in. Now there's so much competition, and more developers have had a longer time to work on their games, that other genres are looking a lot better all the time.

If there's one genre that I expect to be more prominent on the Wii than other consoles, it's lightgun shooters. They've done pretty well so far, aren't very hard to make, and there's a lot of room for new ideas. A few publishers are also probably going to realise how ideal the Wii is for the FPS genre, but it might take a while longer for decent ones to start arriving.
