In one of the least surprising announcements ever, Mass Effect has been confirmed to be coming to the PC in May of this year. Official press announcement:

Originally released for the Xbox 360™ videogame and entertainment system, Mass Effect has received critical acclaim throughout the world with more than 70 awards including Game of the Year, Console Game of the Year and Role-Playing Game of the Year. Mass Effect for the PC has not yet been rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board.
Since it's Bioware, it should be well optimized. Hopefully it won't have the framerate and pop-in issues that the 360 version had. There isn't really an excuse for those issues on a PC game.
