Castlevania Lament of Innocence is right.

Castlevania Lament of Innocence is right.
45. Super Mario Bros. 2 (new!), first impression 8.5, replay 6.5, technical 7.5
Pros: It was my first Game Boy Advance game, and the crisp new SNES-level graphics made a strong impression on me at the time. It was also a different spin on Mario games than I had experienced to that point, with a wide different variety of enemies and multiple characters that had real differences, it was something of a tour-de-force considering i was still relatively new to gaming at the time.
Cons: Primarily that the game was too linear, without the more arcadey feel that games of its era possessed to counterbalance it. I also recall some bosses being downright mean, though it's been a while.
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
Number 44 was the first drop of Rainfall

To clarify my hint, I'll say that the Turtle is bowser and the other character is Luigi. If you play through the game, you'll know what I mean.
45-1# - Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros.
This game marks the first 2013 entry of this list and it's not the last.
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team does what it's predecessors does not much sadly. We have the combat that's better, soundtrack that is top-notch, it's as visually appealing as the others and the dialouge is as funny as ever. We also have the new Dream mechanic that's is a welcome addition and a replacement to Bowser. Overall, this is just another fantastic entry in the series as the 1st and 3rd, but it falls in the pacing and amount of tutorials.

I want to say either Last Story or Xenoblade.

Excitebike 64 (N64/2000) Guessed by AlphaCielago
I have soft spots for Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, F-Zero X, Wave Race 64, and Extreme-G, but in my mind none of the above top Excitebike 64 for racing greatness on N64. The physics and graphics engines are outstanding, the tracks are well designed, and the feeling of speed and height is well captured by the developers at Left Field. It might not have many racers, but it's got it where it counts. One of the most overlooked of the great N64 titles.

First -mon fighting game... I think either Digimon or Pokemon. It could be Digimon Battle Spirit or Digimon Rumble Arena! I don't know a Pokemon fighting game though...

I think that the first Rainfall game was Xenoblade Chronicles!

Hint for #46:
The first two words from the title of this so-called "game of the generation" + the name of Marvel's vampire hunter =
