theres no reason to think xbox's UI is better. ps4's is also tiled but is less complicated. and kinect doesnt add any value because on average its still faster to use a controller than kinect which wont pick up all the commands you tell it.
and being the most expensive system on the market, how is it anywhere close to being mainstream? mainstream customers dont pay premiums. price sensitivity is the key element makes them mainstream in the first place.
