Forums - Gaming Discussion - Ea extends NFL exclusivity deal

Well, sadly, I'm gonna have to support this title....only because my Giants won the Superbowl!! But other than that, I miss the old ones...the ones from the 90's....now those were fun.

Explanation of sig:

I am a Pakistani.....my name is Dan....how hard is that? (Don't ask about the 101...apparantely there are more of me out there....)

^since then, they're games have gone downhill

NFL2K5 was the last NFL game that I purchased. It better and $30 cheaper than Madden at the time.

Without competition, people are spending $60/year for a roster update.

Ea extends NFL exclusivity deal

^ROFL!!! gamers everywhere groan

Around the Network

I like madden overall, but I know quite a few people who aren't going to be happy about this

Well its very good for EA....pretty much sucks for everyone else....How i wish for another ESPN nfl 2k5...how i wish

EA is a bunch of crooks and liars. No-one can convince me otherwise. These are the few times I've given the company my trust, and every time, I was totally disappointed.

1. Bought Madden for GC (EA only focused on the PS2 last-gen, so graphics were unbelievably sucky for what the gamecube could have done, especially in 2005.)

2. Bought 2 copies of Madden within 3 years

3. Bought Marvel Nemesis Oh Geez... At least I only wasted $35

4. Tried Rock Band... crappy Rockband Hardware (I have a cousin and 4 friends. All of them have rock band... and guess what! 4 of them have broken guitars! They Only sturm upwards! Also, the plastic build quality is utter shit, some of the worst in china.)

5. They BLATANTLY Lied on the Box of Medal of Honor Heroes 2. (It only has 1-player per Wii, not 4) (Glad I rented it for free instead of buying it)

6. To Be Continued...

i want 2K to make a NFL game again... EA sucks... oh well backbreaker should be good.

The only GOOD EA game is HP2 for the PS1.

Are you talking about Harry Potter for PS1? That's some bold statement. I've heard of people  hating on EA, but that's next level. Did they kill your cat or something? I know they don't make standard issue cookie cutter japanese RPGs, but most american based companies don't. EA has bought out PLENTY of gems:

Road Rash, Populous, Wing Commander series, Def Jam fighting series, James Bond: Everything or Nothing, Medal of Honor, Burnout series, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Tiger Woods PGA Tour series, early FIFA Soccer on Genesis, Mutant League Football, Medden NFL series, NHL series, Desert Strike, Beetle Adventure Racing, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit series, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, The Sims, Future Cop: LAPD, Knockout Kings series, Fight Night series, Desert Strike, Urban Strike, Nuclear Strike, Soviet Strike, Rumble Racing, SSX series, NBA Street series, NFL Street series, SimCity series, Mutant League Hockey, Syndicate, Black & White, American McGee's Alice, Command & Conquer 3, Clive Barker's Undying, Crysis, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, The Godfather: Blackhand Edition, The Orange Box, System Shock, The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth, Theme Hospital, Ultima Online, Skullmonkeys, Black, Freedom Fighters, The Simpsons Game, etc. etc.

EA has Saboteur, Mercenaries 2, the Bioware MMO, Warhammer Online, Facebreaker, Mirror's Edge, Army of Two and their fanchises to look forward to this year. Criterion is rumored to be working on either Black 2 or a new Road Rash. That's a winner either way.

Please don't say EA only has one good game.
