Forums - Gaming - Controversial Videogames Discussion Videos Thread! [Video #1 is UP]

Hello VGChartz users!

I'm looking to start up a series of YouTube videos where I will answer a videogame-related question chosen from either the comments sections of said videos or in this thread.

Ideally it's got to be something without a clear answer (so the opinion factor comes into play), and something that can easily be debated amongst other people (I want to be able to discuss the topic with you all in this thread once I've shown my views!). It's also got to be something somewhat interesting so that people are more likely to actually want to know what my (or anyone else's) opinion is on the matter.

I appreciate any suggestions that you may submit- I'll be releasing these videos on a weekly basis (Monday or Tuesday), assuming that I have a topic to talk about.

Thanks!

The first of these videos is up - consider this one somewhat of a test because I'm still new to this obviously. I thought it might be an interesting topic though!

This topic was chosen by a commenter on another video, but I'm still looking for people from here to put out suggestions because I feel that you could come up with something more interesting!

I got a Shiny Charmander with the Masuda Method after only 60 eggs *_*

That being said, while you make valid points you don't cover the biggest thread to their value: Hackers on the GTS. With a 100% shiny encounter chance those can flood the market with shinies. While the 3DS has been pretty save so far it is already possible to dump Pokemon to your PC and modify them (on X/Y), reinserting them to the game isn't yet possible, though.

You have a pretty nice voice o.O

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for. You mean controversial like, "is Bayonetta sexist or empowering?" Or something more in-game, like "who was the real main character of FF6?"

If left that sort of ambiguous because either of your definitions would be the sort of thing I'm looking for. Obviously the more interesting (and the more I can actually talk about it) the better it'll be :)

While I don't mind the odds of finding shiny Pokemon being increased, as they were too rare to begin with, I'm not a big fan of the methods to get them. I don't think "chains" or special breeding techniques should be used, they should just be something you come across randomly.

But man, I must have put over 500 hours into Pokemon overall, never found a shiny.
...Or maybe I did, and my stupid 9 year old self just killed it without realising what it was.

Hm. I see.

Then maybe "is DLC good or bad" or "is DLC material cut from the original game"? Or "is the proliferation of FPS games worse than the proliferation of Platformers or Beat 'Em Ups in previous generations?"

Or how about, "is GearBox's Loot Hunt promotion an event to reward customers or a crafty way of pushing people to buy all the DLC?"

I don't know, really. That's all I can think of at the moment.

Oh, or how about, "is Square right or wrong to ignore the Final Fantasy Tactics IP despite how popular it's been?"
