Forums - Gaming - CoD: Ghosts on Xbox One Has Frame Rate Issues And Is The Main Reason Not To Buy says Ex IGN Editor

And the same on PS4 version. Of course, going with Killzone SF instead of this crappy optimized version, in the same way I didn't bougth any CoD this gen and went to Killzone 2 and 3.

Killzone: SF is not that optimized too.

Of course, as any early game on the gen. My point is that SF is mantaining its framerate at 1080p and is much more complex visually than CoD: Ghosts. But that is a very interesting margin to improve visuals on the next KZ...

no probs on the ps3 that I have noticed yet. Hopefully a patch to fix the lazy programming will be out by the time ps4 is release.

This is why people shouldn't rush to judgment. Beyond the fact that the game looks bad no matter where you buy it, Infinity Ward is quickly becoming a dev to avoid for me. Treyarch has been much better to the franchise.

After so many years hearing and reading that the real CoD games were the ones made by IW while Treyarch was named the "other", tose words are so surprising (but not without true).

It just shows how the departure of the big ones can damage a whole developer.

But we also have to remember, as has already been said, that until now Infinity Ward only did 3 versions of CoD: 360, PS3 and PC. This time they also had to do the WiiU, PS4 and XOne ones. Twice the effort + new gen + convulsed studio = perfect recipe for disappointment.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Ok so basically it's confirmed that all versions of COD Ghost suck... can we please move on now.

Wow this is huge not only 720p but frame rate issues too.

Honestly, as a launch game it's not that big of a deal since both consoles are in its infancy. Yes, we can argue all day that development for both consoles will improve, and it's arguable to say that there possibly will be a consistent gap if not greater between the consoles. Facts are facts when it comes to resolutions and framerates, but let not put too much emphasis on ti now until developers have had, let's say, a year to get more experience under their belts.

A framerate drop when the game is running at 1080p/60 I suppose can be writen off due to a launch game. But a frame rate drop on a next gen console when the game is only running at 720p is simply embarassing.

Oh, don't mind me.  I was just trying to sound unbias.  ;)

They can still fix it until launch, right? Right?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

Maybe people should ignore these current gen ports and focus on the next-gen exclusives (save for Titanfall as that's a next gen port). There has been far too much discussion for the last month about games that you should just play on your current gen console anyway.

Forza 5, Killzone: Shadowfall, Ryse, etc. Please and thank you.
