Forums - Sales Discussion - Japan Sales - Media Create,Famitsu, & dengeki: week 44 (Oct. 28 - Nov. 3)

... wheres all the WiiU hate guys =P
good to see Vita holding well, hopefully NepNep can have some decent legs

All SW sold this week for the Wii U is basically that that was bundled, save for Wii Party which sold around 40k on its own. The rest of the old games didn't even chart, which is strange for an entry level of 2,5k.

Hopefully this wasn't pent up demand for the system that got accumulated since the announcement of the new bundles around a month ago. If next week sales drop a lot, then Wii U is in deep trouble as it would indicate that interest on the system didn't increase, just people wanting to buy the console beforehand, but awaiting these new value added bundles.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

Good boost for Wii U, but would have been nice to see some more software chart as well. Seems people are happy with just the two games for now. Wii Fit U and Wii Sports will hopefully keep the momentum alive for a few weeks while we wait for Mario.

Really surprised at the Vita's holding out. I didn't think the smaller model with a slightly cheaper price would have much of an impact.

Did anyone see this coming?

Looks like the WiiU bundles really helped.

Good numbers for the Vita.

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Vita establishing a 25k per week after slim was released!

Sad, that no other games did Chart for Wii U, but I am sure some of them sold better. I think it won't drop under 20k anymore. SM3DW is coming, and the holidays will effect, too.

Why in hell is there such a difference for Wii Party U? Anyway very good for WiiU but can it hold?

Vita is nicely up before Akiba's Trip and God Eater 2. Neptune is not as bad as Tsutaya let me think, but clearly there wasn't any anime boost :(

Pokemon has just outsold MH4
