Forums - Nintendo - component cable problem

I have my wii hooked up to my telly with 3rd party component cables via a joytech component 360 switch, I have had no problems with anything else. I have thought about seeing if the cable works on its own, but haven't fiddled with that yet. I was wondering if anyone had experienced the following.

In the menu's the wii flashes on and off regularly with no errors, it might eventually stop, but this will continue randomly when changing pages/menu. during games (whilst loading) the bottom 3rd of the screen flashes, and is not in line with the edge of the screen, it's kind of left at a 45 degree angle.it takes a while, but then its fine again. i'm guessing it's a syncing issue, I have searched for information on this, but either no-one else is experiencing it, or as you can see it's hard to put what is happening in words.

I have played the Wii via the composite cables, and this artifacting does not occur.

The Wii mayor may not be modificated.

Has anyone witnessed anything similar, should I try official nintendo cables? changing from 480i or p doesn't seem to change anything. I still get problems.
