Call of Duty: Ghosts reviews have started rolling out now only for current gen but also for next-gen consoles as well mostly importantly for PS4, and as per the details coming out its not a good news for Playstation fans.Call of Duty: Ghosts on PS4 definitely runs at 1080p but its frame rate issue that is the main cause of concern. CoD: Ghosts on PS4 is unable to hold onto a steady frame rate.Check out few impressions of the various reviewers with respect to the frame rate of Call of Duty: Ghosts on PS4:Joystiq gave Call of Duty: Ghosts 3.5 out of 5 on PlayStation 4 and the reviewer talked about the frame rate issues: "A key pillar of the Call of Duty experience has always been rock-solid 60 frames per seconds gameplay. On Xbox 360, Ghosts maintains this mandate. The PlayStation 4 version, however, has noticeable technical issues, sometimes slowing to a crawl, particularly during set-piece moments with multiple effects. One specific moment I was able to replicate multiple times on PS4 was a campaign scene that ran smoothly on Xbox 360 and PS3, while the game chugged On PlayStation 4. These frame rate hitches happen throughout the campaign on PS4 and, in a series known for its Hollywood-inspired bombast, it detracted from the experience."IGN also talked about encountering frame rate issues in their review: "On the current-gen versions Ghosts looks nearly identical, though I did encounter occasional framerate issues during the single-player campaign on PS3 and PS4."Edge gave CoD: Ghosts on PS4 a 7/10 and had the following things to say about frame rate: “While the PS4 version runs at a native 1080p, that precious framerate drops briefly before checkpoints, which are at least placed so that the odd stutter never affects gunplay.”GiantBomb also talks about these issues in their review saying: "Additionally, the PlayStation 4 version has a handful of noticeable dips in its frame rate. Am I right in believing, that you're trying to imply that the X1 is not going to have those framerate issues?



Well what's this all about Infinity Ward? On the one had you say you needed to develop the games to ensure you hit 60fps, because fps is king. On the other hand you sacrifice fps consistency on PS4 to achieve 1080p. Did Sony pressure you or pay you to produce a 1080p game?

I think IW will eventually put out solid 1080p 60fps on both consoles, because they can hit that mark at launch on PS4, albeit quite flawed. But it seems this early on their reach did not match their ambition.
