Back OT, Naughty Dog has the cache to make these type of hyperbolic statements because they usually deliver an excellent product. I can't wait to see what they have come up with.

True.

Hopefully nobody that noted UC2 to be GOTY 2009 is still doing game reviews. The game isn't bad, in fact, I love some parts of it, but it's nowhere near GOTY material as far as I'm concerned.

But you do know that more people would call it the game of the generation than "a bore", right? And when it comes to 2009 I can't really see that much of a competition for it. Just a couple games that can be considered to be on par.

It's my opinion and I stand by it. Nothing from ND could disappoint me more than UC4.

You keep posting like your opinion on ND and UC is all that matters, most don;t agree with you..move on. The game was made at a level very few devs reach. Thus the 200+ awards, and accolades. Not just from sites either........From Game developers conference, you know the same guys who make games for a living. Academy of interactive arts...

My experience with Uncharted is very limited, but enough that I decided to never buy or play another game in the series ever again. However, this seems like a great place to ask: Am I wrong? Should I play an Uncharted game and why? How is Uncharted different (better) than Assassins Creed?

Very limited.......the lunacy of your post is astounding...it's nothing mlike assassins creed either. Like watching 1 episode of a 5 season TV show and making massive assumptions. ND has bulit their reputation, I don;t think they will miss you lol.

I frequently discard TV shows after one episode, I don't force myself to watch crap just to "give it a second chance". So, in short you have no reason that I should play the game? I guess Naughty Dog and myself will continue on our merry seperate ways.

Who said anything about crap??? it is impossible to judge even the BEST show after 1 episode....Breaking bad, The wire, to name a few. The game is awesome, what other reason do yuo need? It's a game your not joining a convent....

It's not impossible for me, I can tell if I like something pretty quickly. There is enough excellent TV meterial in the world that I don't need to sit thorugh extended sittings of crap I don't like just because someone else thinks it's awesome. The same goes for games. And while it is not joining a covenent, it is a crucial point in deciding if I am going to spend $400 on a new Playstation console plus games for it or not. I am not going to make that decission because BrainCramps thinks the game is awesome. That is why I am asking what makes this upcoming game (I am guessing the game Naughty Dog is talking about is in the Uncharted series?) better than a game I percive as similar that I have more experience woth and don't particularily like so I can make a more informd decission.

Umm again, never said anything about crap...the best material cannot be judged on sucha  small sample.....you say Breaking bad, the wire is crap???? LOL. The best shows take their time and make detailed stories and characters, No one said BBN or the wire was the best tv drama ever after 1 episode..your post makes ZERO sense.

It's not just me, you don;t need me to tell you how poeople view ND and uncharted...look at the reviews, praise, and make up your own mind..I am not alone.

The last 3 ND games speak for themselves..................uc2 was deserving of it's praise. By far the standard barrer of action adventure games of this gen.

Unlike GTA, people agree largely on UC2.

I can't speak of UC3 or TLoU, but UC2 only speaks of the things I hate in this industry. Linearity, focus on cinematic gameplay, simple characters, simple puzzles, overuse of cover mechanics... I don't mind cinematic - when it's done beyond: two souls time. When it's done with simple characters like in Uncharted, and the focus is not on the character, it's just annoying.

Focus was clearly on the character..Over use of cover??? 1) Your see to use cover how much you want. The game is also a perfect marriage of several genres.2) If yuo don;t like great stories to go with outstanding action, then yes maybe it's not your thing, but the game deserves it's praise. It not being your cup of tea is irrelevant. Doesn;t mean it is Overrated, your opinion is not that important.

3) Simple puzzles is subjective, I know many who didn;t find them simple at all...................

4) Whats annoying is one person thinking their opinion disregards everyone elses.

1) Don't use it? Die. I played on Hard.

2) Metal Gear Solid, DMC, InFamous... not UC

3) Can't open Drake's Journal? Have trouble recognizing shapes? Can't read ingame hints? Deary me.

4) What's annoying is having "industry" and others' opinions just about shoved down my throat. It's my opinion and I stand by it. Don't like it? Ignore it.

Umm I am talking about NOT using the hints, they are there obviously if YOU arre having trouble.........This can be tured off or ignored, now your arguments have gotten foolish.

Uc2 has gone down as one of the very best this gen has to offer, you posting isn;t changing that.

Why do you keep trolling a thread about Uc4 and ND then???? Stay on topic or go to a thread about a game you like.

Uncharted and Assassin's Creed are nothing alike.

And yes you should play Uncharted, Uncharted 2 got me back into gaming after a three year hiatus.

How are they different? I honestly want to know, I am using Assassins Creed because I have recently purchased a game in that series and have a frame of reference. If the series are nothing alike, I am interested in knowing what sets them apart.

I can't think of any similarities between them except they're both 3rd person. :p

Trolling is just spouting bullshit, I have arguments. I've been here far longer than you have, and being that the point of a forum is posting your opinion on something, negative or positive, I'll post whatever I want as long as it's within rules and not insulting to anyone.

Making judgment from a small sample is the summary of prejudice.
