Well some opinions are less valuable than others...

Back OT, Naughty Dog has the cache to make these type of hyperbolic statements because they usually deliver an excellent product. I can't wait to see what they have come up with.

True.

Hopefully nobody that noted UC2 to be GOTY 2009 is still doing game reviews. The game isn't bad, in fact, I love some parts of it, but it's nowhere near GOTY material as far as I'm concerned.

You are the minority, Game developers ,Academy of inetractive arts and sciences and other major awards all went to uncharted for a reason..... The reviews, acclaim and success of the franchise speaks for itself.

I don't care that I am the minority. Was the majority of reviewers right with GTA IV? Most gamers today agree that they weren't.

Hype. Graphics. Realism. It's because of those three things that games are frequently heavily overrated.

The last 3 ND games speak for themselves..................uc2 was deserving of it's praise. By far the standard barrer of action adventure games of this gen.

Unlike GTA, people agree largely on UC2.

My experience with Uncharted is very limited, but enough that I decided to never buy or play another game in the series ever again. However, this seems like a great place to ask: Am I wrong? Should I play an Uncharted game and why? How is Uncharted different (better) than Assassins Creed?

Very limited.......the lunacy of your post is astounding...it's nothing mlike assassins creed either. Like watching 1 episode of a 5 season TV show and making massive assumptions. ND has bulit their reputation, I don;t think they will miss you lol.

I frequently discard TV shows after one episode, I don't force myself to watch crap just to "give it a second chance". So, in short you have no reason that I should play the game? I guess Naughty Dog and myself will continue on our merry seperate ways.

Who said anything about crap??? it is impossible to judge even the BEST show after 1 episode....Breaking bad, The wire, to name a few. The game is awesome, what other reason do yuo need? It's a game your not joining a convent....

Uncharted and Assassin's Creed are nothing alike.

And yes you should play Uncharted, Uncharted 2 got me back into gaming after a three year hiatus.

How are they different? I honestly want to know, I am using Assassins Creed because I have recently purchased a game in that series and have a frame of reference. If the series are nothing alike, I am interested in knowing what sets them apart.

Perhaps there next game is that cross between Last of Us/Uncharted/Jak and Daxter karting game everyone wants. (;

The funny thing is if it was made by Naughty Dog I would buy it. XD

I can't speak of UC3 or TLoU, but UC2 only speaks of the things I hate in this industry. Linearity, focus on cinematic gameplay, simple characters, simple puzzles, overuse of cover mechanics... I don't mind cinematic - when it's done beyond: two souls time. When it's done with simple characters like in Uncharted, and the focus is not on the character, it's just annoying.

They can tease, they will deliver...

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

What's the point of posting any opinion then?

Uncharted is generally a bore, I gotta agree. Yet to play UC3, but UC1: Genocide in the Carribean and UC2: How Stupid Are Villains are not worth their word of mouth.

But you do know that more people would call it the game of the generation than "a bore", right? And when it comes to 2009 I can't really see that much of a competition for it. Just a couple games that can be considered to be on par.

It's my opinion and I stand by it. Nothing from ND could disappoint me more than UC4.

Focus was clearly on the character..Over use of cover??? Your see to use cover how much you want. The game is also a perfect marriage of several genres. If yuo don;t like great stories to go with outstanding action, then yes maybe it's not your thing, but the game deserves it's praise. It not being your cup of tea is irrelevant. Doesn;t mean it is Overrated, your opinion is not that important.

Simple puzzles is subjective, I know many who didn;t find them simple at all...................

Whats annoying is one person thinking their opinion disregards everyone elses.
