I'm not the biggest fan of FFVIII's story, gameplay, or over all cast.....but these two are probably the best looking characters in the series period. Rinoa's flowing Sweater Dress would set a tone for many other female characters. Rinoa wore it best tho. Squall's super cool leather Jacket and Lionhart swag is something I would wear in real life. I also appreciate the "cold" colors used on them throughout the game that gives me this cozy feeling about them.

Not that much of a fan of what Cloud wears in FFVII, but his Advent Children Design is just so edgy and dark. I love it.

Hauntingly Ethereal, one cannot help but bask in Safer Sephiroth's Glor. When in this form I felt a tugging at my heart. As if I was over stepping a boundry, trying to challenge a GOD! The abstractness and symbolism of it all makes it that much better.

Character wise? Sure I can agree with that. Looks? They are wearing quite literally the exact same outfit in FFVII. Zack does have better hair tho for sure.

Both, but I think Cloud looks better with his Advent Children outfit, but otherwise I think Zack's better.

Forgot about Beatrix. She and her army of female soldiers , and fabled "Save The Queen". Super cool.

Here is an interesting note for everyone. No mainline FF Lead has had Black Hair. It is always Blonde or Brunette. Zack was going to be the first but then SE made Nomura change the design to what is now Cloud. I think they think Darker hair exudes a more anti-hero like persona or something (or just find it bland). Only female lead I can think of with Black hair is Rinoa. Supporting Characters, Lulu did.

FFXV has first blue haired protagonist...REVOLUTIONARY!

Also...

Basch is teh SEX!!!! Loved his design. Masculine. Attractive. But still maintains the fantasy. Proof that Square can do non Boyish main characters(because we all know he and Ashe are the true leads)

Noctis confuses me. His hair originally gave off a blue hue, making me think that it was really black but SE spiced it up with highlights so it had more shimmer. Then there came more images where it looks brown :/. I really hope it is Blue/black. I think it fits well with the tone.

Only thing I don't like about FFXV so far is the devoid of color in their costumes. When they were all wearing suits, it was ok. But in street clothes at least one of them should utilize some navy blues or blood reds.

I would definitely add Noctis as one of the better FF character designs tho. His appearance alone gives him character.
