Damn... The release of the 3DS homebrew channel got pushed back....

It will release now once they figured out a way to do the same to the new 3DS as well.

However, the release is still expected for 2014.

I knew Nintendo would release new 3DS hardware. I just hate what they do with their handhelds - you never know if you are safe buying it, cause N may screw you over at any time. Last gen I waited till the DSi and can't complain that much, even though the DSi XL they released later was better :/ Now I knew they wouldn't just let us go away with the release 3DS and 3DS XL. I didn't see the crappy 2DS coming and was expecting them to upgrade the hardware last year. But what was inevitable, has just happened. This is why I don't buy Nintendo stuff early on.

All in all, I like this N3DS and Xenoblade on it is a must-buy. I have never played it on my Wii and probably never will, but a handheld changes everything. The question for me though remains - is Nintendo gonna release yet another hw update next year or in two years? The second control pad looks crappy and is begging to redesign it. The shoulder buttons placement is strange, we'll have to see if they are comfortable at all.

So this is a good move, I want the N3DS, but what I really want is to know whether Nintendo won't change hardware again and screw me over after I give them my money...

This NEW 3DS could be the HW Peer, from IGN, was talking about before E3.
Also, there was a user from Neogaf that said that Nintendo was preparing something, already in 2013. His quote: “Nintendo apparently started working on a new platform in early 2013 and has already selected a vendor for the SoC after talking to several potential candidates. The SoC might be based on an existing design, but will be changed to fit Nintendo’s requirements. I assume it’s for their next handheld, though.”

Peer would have said something about it this morning though.

If that is what you meant, the half in which he took part seems to have been recorded before the NEW 3DS was announced.

If not, then, i could be wrong.

I don`t know how many days apart between the two segments, to be honest, but one day could have been enough.

I've been playing Earthbound (I'm at Happy Happy Village, before the giant pencil, so far ) and damn it this is freaking awesome! The writing for the love of god, is so beautiful! The characters are so lovable, and the battle system is very good. The soundtrack is also good, but that's to be expected by Nintendo

Onett theme's is my favorite right now, but I'm still very early in the game tho. Sadly, for a long time, since I'm going for my last vacation trip for 2 weeks.
