Fine, I'll definitely not buy this piece of garbage then. It's like Nintendo gets rid of all the best things (no splitscreen multiplayer either) because this is the Wii U.

Garbage just because it doesn't support a secondary control scheme, sucka please! Shooters worked fine before the Wiimote and they still work fine without it. Play Splatoon tomorrow and see for yourself. Also one instance in one game does not equal Nintendo getting rid of everything.

I'll try to play it and afterwards I will tell you why it would play so much better with the Wiimote/Nunchuk setup.

Okay sure I guess, but keep in mind it doesn't matter if Wiimote is better (and really it may be better at aiming but has slower turning), point is the standard controls (with a bit of motion control in this case) work perfectly fine as they always have.

You have to tap your friends to jump where they are. Also you have to touch the gamepad for the big missile, so you can press exactly where you want it to explode. Also for weapons like the paintbrush and the roller, the wiimote would be stupid and gimicky.

And the main objective of the game is to paint everywhere, so you don´t need 100% accuracy for that, you go painting the floor all around lol.

There are motion controls? I hope they are completely optional.

Yes they are optional. That was confirmed. But the press is telling that it works surprisingly fine, we´ll see that soon.

They are but I actually think they'll provide better control overall, using them for more finer gentle aiming while the right stick hangles the broader movements.

It does need splitscreen multiplayer though.

Welp got nothing else to do today, so I'll be playing online in MK8 from now until 10pm if anyone want to join me! Well I'm gonna do the 200cc tournament for the day first, but afterwards I'll either be playing in Extreme Team Race on Blue team or if no one's there then 200cc worldwides!

I'm with Rol, omitting Wiimote + Nunchuk controls is dumb for a TPS on Wii U. Even that Metroid minigame in Nintendoland had multiplayer with one on the Gamepad and the other with Wiimote + Nunchuk on the TV. I'd main them in single player too if I could.

I'm sure it'll be awesome regardless, but it does feel like a bit of a missed opportunity.
