Am I the only one that thinks this looks like a cheap amateur game?

I've seen better looking KS projects that only had a budget of $110.000.

My only issue - not being a Megaman fan - is the running animation of the character.  It's incredibly cardboard.  I mean, I get that Megaman of yor was not exactly nimble, but this is 2015 folks.  Invest in a better animator.

Am I getting it right when I say that Inti Creates is developing it? They've proven that they know how to make Mega Man lame and the only times they put out something legitimately good was when they got forced to leave their own ideas at the door.

Yeah, they're co-developing it with another studio who's name I can't remember. Comcast or something.

The level looked soulless and bland to me. So empty.

There's so many good 2D platformers out there, why should anyone buy this? (outside of nostalgia that is). Buy Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Rayman Legends, Ori and the Blind Forest, Oddworld: New N' Tasty, Trine 1-2 or Yoshi's Woolly World instead...

Eh, I can get behind this kinda look if the context makes sense.  I don't ahve context, so I won't judge on that.  The music is kinda meh though, and the sound design in general is kinda weak.  Smacks of that "we want to sound old and retro but not be old and retro!" shtick that often results in rather weak scores and sound design.  Just go all out one way or the other please, don't make this awkward mishmash. >_>

It's supposed to be a powerplant.

David Wise's soundtrack for Yooka-Laylee sounds amazing btw. You can't listen to that and not get Donkey Kong vibes from it. Much better than Grant Kirkhope imo. Although his track was good as well. Two very different styles, that will be interesting.

Now give us a 3D DK Nintendo and hire David Wise again!

Hmmm ok then.  Kinda weird looking for that setting indeed.

On a side note, I think part of the problem with Mighty No. 9 is that they have stretched themselves thin and bitten off more than they probably should have.  The game isn't even out yet and they ahve an animated series already planned and in the works, I mean what the heck?  Unless I'm remembering wrong.

Not very impressive, I agree.

But there´s some variety on the levels,it looks clean and simple as megaman, and it seems funny.

Now, I hope they did something really good and long enough for those 4 milions on ks

That has to be Inafune's own studio then. All that guy wants to make is Mega Man. That in and of itself isn't actually that much of a problem (although he definitely should do something else inbetween), but his decisions when it comes to game design are so bad most of the time. Or maybe he just lets others do the crappy stuff, but that still wouldn't excuse that he doesn't veto it.

They made Soul Sacrifice and some other games actually, co-developed of course. I checked and it's called Comcept.

I tried the Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition demo and it has UNsold me the game. I mean i was going to buy it but oh man what a piece of crap.
