Its very polarizing to see MH4G performance in the US and Japan.

290k in 17 days versus 1.7m in 2 days, in Japan Ultimate is at 2.7m I doubt the entire MH series as a whole has sold that much in the US.

Also go to my Atari thread, otherwise you'll have a monkey butt for a face.

The Monster Hunter series has always been very niche in the US.  I think Monster Hunter Tri on Wii was the best selling game in the States but it didn't even break one million.  I think it's at 0.65 million sold.

We'll Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is doing well at Amazon right now.  We'll see if it has legs.

 

But I think MH would have far more potential on home consoles in the US than on handhelds.  And I mean a full HD version on Wii U, not a half baked port that retains its lower-end Wii game visuals like 3.

Apparently Kirby is undertracked in the US. VGC has it at 33k for February but NPD gaf leak has it at 52k.
