Forums - Nintendo - Impressions of Sonic: Lost World? - Report if you have

So I suck. I took on the resonsibility to get the official up for Lost World bu combination College( 6 classes this semester) work and female problems hae kept my away from gettin it done and game industry in general. I'm just now finding out the mixed reception to the game, but thats a diiferent toic. Still willing to do a official if enough people have it.

Did anybody buy it? Whats your impression?

So far The GOOD.

- seperation of modes into  time attack to get typical letter rankings and then one just to have fun and explore the level

- lovely variety in levels

- badniks are actually a part of the game! I cant remeber the last time enemies were relevant in a Sonic game... outside of homing meat.

- speaking of homing a attack, I like the way it works here. Less mashing

- Game looks great, not Generations great mainly due to lack of energy in comparison to generations.  Shit was happening everywhere in that game. Where it does exceed it bringing classic style into a 3D world.

- Man did I miss those powerups

The bad:

- Stupid bosses in world 1. That seem reallly thrown together

-  Does nothing to explain sonic's abilities. Example, While Wall running sonic can do a wall jet kind of thing where up to 3 times he jet across the wall uncharted style and thats how you get around corners. There is a red ring in 1-3 you cannot get untill you figure this out

- Game is tough but not challenge tough. More like trial and error tough. I learned the above just by accident trying to get that missing red ring. Many game overs at that part.

- I know Sonic team wants to keep control simplistic but having to many options tied to one input is anoying. Accidental wall runs, parkour ledge jump over the ledge(lol) or homing attacking when you want a double is just frustrating.

- Wisp control like ass. How the fuck do you control Indigo asteroid?

Thats it so far.

I think the making of a universally great sonic game is in this game design.

RED RING HUNT:

How do you get the only one in the first part of world 4?
