We want to thank you, our devoted community, for your incredible support throughout the years. That’s why today, we’re pleased to announce a new, PlayStation-specific integration into the Sony Rewards program, where you can earn points by doing what you love.

Sony Rewards members can redeem points for the latest games, PlayStation Store cash, PlayStation Plus memberships, Bravia TVs, movies, music, and even unique VIP gaming experiences.

With Sony Rewards, there are a variety of ways to earn points. Members can earn points for every $1 spent when shopping at PlayStation Store, Sony Entertainment Network online store, and Sony Store. The Sony Rewards program also has great offers with a variety of online retailers. Members can earn points for PlayStation and Sony purchases at retailers such as Gamestop.com, Bestbuy.com, Target.com, and Walmart.com when loged in to Sony Rewards, while shopping through Sony Rewards Points Plus.

Members can also earn points on a variety of limited time bonus offers, such as buying a 1-year PlayStation Plus membership on PlayStation Store, watching select movies, and uploading movie ticket stubs on SonyRewards.com.

Not to mention that PlayStation card members can earn even more points for PlayStation and Sony purchases. The card receives 10x points on all PlayStation Store purchases, 3x points on all PlayStation and Sony purchases at Sony Stores, 3x points at quick service restaurants and movie theaters, and 1 point for every dollar spent everywhere else.

To get started, you can join Sony Rewards and link your Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) account. This will allow you to automatically earn points on your PlayStation Store purchases and digital bonus offers. If you’re already a Sony Rewards member, simply link your SEN account to your existing Sony Rewards account. If you join by November 12th, 2013 you can take advantage of the 100 point sign up offer.

Got my hopes up for nothing...thought it was gonna be like you get points for your trophies, not get points by spending money.

No nothing like that, that doesn't really interest me at all since I don't like traveling.  I mean getting PS store credit for trophies or something.

Not just games.  Get a Playstation credit card and it's one point for every dollar you spend, three points for every dollar at a gas station, movie theater, or fast food restaurant, and 10 points for every dollar used on the Playstation store.  Spend $100 on the Playstation store, 1000 there.  Then there's the spend $50 get $10 back deals that PSN has has every couple months.  Spend $100 there, you get $20 PSN credit and 1000 points which is yet another $10 PSN credit.  So basically spend $100, get $30.

If you don't like the benefits that this gives you.  There are other cards out there.  Sony cards are obvously for Sony products, but you can get cards that give you sky miles, the more money you spend, you'll be able to have a free round trip tricket, free hotel rooms, etc.   

A 1% return isn't very good, they should have Bronze, silver, gold and platinum levels for spending money and you get extra bonus points for getting them levels.

Yeah, tell me about it. I bought a 3DS XL, Pokemon X & Y, Epic Mickey and plenty of other titles and I can get myself a blue and/or red Nintendo 3DS pouch, with a little picture of Mario on it!!!

I'm serious by the way. Currently have 480 club points.
