I forgot to add, amazing Vita numbers considering, over double WiiU numbers this quarter ...

Given they both seem to be in a similar state it's an interesting comparison.

Shipments =/= sales. WiiU was massively overshipped in Nintendo Q4 2012. And since it was selling very poorly, the stock was never really moving hence why the very low shipment numbers. Let's also not forget that vita is on it's 2nd year so it was definetly not overshipped. So no, the comparison is pretty irrevelant. If wiiU would hypothetically stay on vita sale levels in 2014, then we would see quarterly shipments of around 800k since it wouldn't be overshipped unless retailers are complete idiots lol.

Well it's PSP + Vita anyway so it was an invalid comparison in the first place, Rol corrected me.

Still, WiiU is doing under 100k a month this past quarter (Actual sales), so no it wouldn't be shipping 800k.

Well, I was assuming that the vita shipped 800k with your post. What I ment by that is the wiiU would be capable to ship whatever the vita did last quarter if it wasn't for the massive overshipments of Q4 2012. But anyways, were already seeing an increase in sales for wiiU after the price cut, so I highly doubt it will ever go back down to 20-30k/week in it's lifetime except when Nintendo's next home console is released of course.

Predictions for LT console sales:

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

Vita: 13M

Op: Terrible quarter just like Nintendo. Most of their divisions are in the negative which is very bad even though we are seeing minor improvements in some divisions and others are doing worst then last year (Sony pictures).

Guess they ran out of buildings to sell lol I kid I kid. The ps4 will get them a profit I'm sure

Because of Q1. Unless you think PS3 sold the majority of those 3.4m which would just be ridiculous. Sony are still shipping PS2's (I think Ethomaz said something like that?) Sony have simply tallied PS2 and put all those systems in Q1 so they won't be counted in any future quarers regardless of what they're still sending out.

They are shipping PS2 yet... I don't know where but they cleary stated one of the reason for the operation loss was the drecrease of PS2's sales (sales = shipment)... of couser there are a lot of other reasons in Game Division.

But I think they are very low right now... like Wii U level

They stated "due to PS3 decreasing sales". PS2 is toast, finito, zilch, nada. Game Division certainly had to cough up for PS4 R&D foremost.

I think you need to read again... they cleary said PS2 too.

Here from the Sony docs.

"Sales increased 5.1% year-on-year (a 14% decrease on a constant currency basis) to 155.7 billion yen (1,588million U.S. dollars) primarily due to the favorable impact of foreign exchange rates. The decrease in sales on a constant currency basis was primarily due to a decrease in unit sales of PlayStation®2 (“PS2”), PlayStation®3 (“PS3”) and PSP® (PlayStation Portable) hardware, partially offset by increased PS3 software unit sales compared to the same quarter of the previous fiscal year."

Year over year .... meaning they're not shipping/selling PS2's anymore thus it's causing a decrease.

Am I seeing this right, Sony has shipped/sold (because of digital sales) 236 million software units in 2013 in 3 quarters and VGChartz has Sony selling 95 million physical game copies in the same time frame.........??? lol if true

Sony still doesn´t know how to make money, some of the best devices out there IMO and still nothing, how can you sell 10Ms smartphones in 1 quarter and still lose money on mobile devices? Not that I care because I don´t financially get anything from it, I just want them to have money to invest in good stuff for me.

YTD VGC has 180 mill, minus October.

Edit - Beg your pardon, was looking at 2011. Yeah that is very low, especially given PS3 is at 80m and there are 15m+ copies of GTAV shipped.
