Ive never had it before, but will be getting it with PS4.

How does it work exactly? Is there a different Free game every month? How will this work on PS4??? Obviously their isnt enough of a library in the first year to be giving brand new games away for Free.

The games will be brand new games since the PS4 is a new system.

And you get 6 games a month.

Resogun and contrast free at PS4 launch plus new games every few months. On PS3 and Vita, a new game is brought on every other week or so. Old games eventually shuffle out of the system. As long as you claim a game before being shuffled out, it's yours forever. Of course though you can only play it with a PS+ sub.

Most of the PS+ features apply to the console, not just your account. Other people on your system can play your games and play online without you needing to be logged in.

You get free shitz until you stop paying and then ur free shitz go away forever until you start paying again...

I sure am gonna miss the option of having a free model and a paid model vs only paid model... Oh well... drawbacks of the future I guess

It has if you didn't pay for an online service such as PS+ or Xbox Live Gold

It's a good service but may be a bit thin on offerings for the first few months.

Also don't forget that if you buy a few months they will automatically charge you for more unless you specify otherwise. Bit deceptive if you ask me but that's what they do.

It's kind of a moot point if you intend to play games online since that one little, yet major feature is now a pay wall requirement.

In defense of PSN+, I really don't see how SCE could make the service a better deal (short of just doing free online play again) as the paid service grants access to several full games, extra downloads, discounts, etc. etc. each month. If one actually plays on a regular basis and buys content from the PSN Store, the subscriber can recoup the cost of the service fairly quickly.

On an extreme level, the service can even serve as a replacement (albeit a limited one) for buying new games. You just won't have access to all the latest as they are released for pretty obvious reasons.

As far as the free games "going away" (technically, you lose your access if you stop subscribing), it's not really an issue if you're planning on playing online since you're already paying for the service and your access to the library of games you gained access to throughout the course of your subscription.

So how long until games like Knack, Shadowfall, Second Son, etc are Free on PS+?

I am guessing 3-6 months for Knack.... and a year + for KZ and SS.
