I hope they would get rid of the anime inspired character designs and replace it with more westernized characters
Can't take playing as emo cry baby teens with spikey hair anymore.

Eh, I can see what you're getting at, but I think it's more because the writers and designers are lazy with their characters, not because they're drawing from a particular source. In Final Fantasy's case I think Westernizing it too much  a very, VERY bad idea. Final Fantasy pulls the bulk of its sales outside of Japan, where it has a JRPG reputation. Making a Western RPG out of it will undermine it's market placement because it will be competing with WRPGs like Dragon Age AS another WRPG on their home turf.

That's a losing battle, I guarantee you.

Besides, there are a dozen animes I can think of off the top of my head which I would LOVE for Final Fantasy to shamelessly steal from when designing the next title. Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Sword Art Online. The problem isn't that anime-inspired is bad, but that anime-inspired has turned out to be lazy.

would prefer they didnt, if they wanted to just dont make the same mistake as the mmo's in numbering it. It would cause a lot of hate towards it (DmC anybody) and sales wouldnt be great even if its a great game (once again DmC anybody, and yes I realize DmC isnt numbered but a reboot).

Final Fantasy has already been westernized too much.
It needs to be more Japanized again.
Not the other way around. Don't get it twisted.

''Hadouken!''

or, OR we could get IF and CH to make one... no, just me =(

Horrendous idea. The mere act of doing so works on the belief that the franchise needs to be "Westernized" which in itself undermines the spirit of it.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Give them a spin off first, If they do a good job then yes ill be happy with them making a FF title.

Remember that Agni's Philosophy demo? That was co developed by Crystal Dynamics and SE's CGI department Visual Works along with several Japanese leads and the Luminous engine is built on top of Eidos' tech base (both Crystal Dynamics’ Crystal Engine and IO Interactive’s Glacier 2 engine) so it's clear that they have been preparing to use Eastern and Western collaboration for some time. And considering the development issues Japan has had this generation on consoles I can see how a Japanese led Western production probably is seen as good direction for them. Especialy given that they want to release games more frequently, by getting their western studios to do the grunt work for every other entry would certainly help.

Japanese gamers would get so mad at this lol and probably refuse to buy the game.  I don't see this happening.

I can even see some people they will turn it into a Call Of Duty clone.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

I can't see why not however there is one thing I find extremely missing from Western developers that would mean a FF game would never feel like and FF even if it played the same as FF6. The comedy. The Japanese know how to put light on a situation and always find a way to add some weird comedy in there somewhere, the characters feeling 'at rest; and playful, even for a moment.

Western developers would make it the most depressing game ever.

Hmm, pie.
