Forums - Gaming - Is 1080p/60fps even reasonable? And doesn't PS4 matching XBO at twice the pixel count make perfect sense?

I have been looking all over the at benchmarks, and it seems no single gpu can push Crysis 3 at 1080p/60fps. From what I have seen of BF4 it looks like it is competitive to C3 in graphics. So I am expecting the same scenario where the a single Titan or R9 290 will not be capable of running it at 1080p/60fps. So to me it seems unreasonable for 1080p/60fps to be expected if Crysis 3 or BF4 ultra level graphics are to be expected. If a PC with $1000 worth the GPU, a much faster CPU, and more RAM can not do this how can that be expected?

Also looking at the new R7 260 (XBO) vs the R9 270 (PS4) the results we are hearing of PS4 running at the same FPS at twice the resolution looks pretty believable. It is nearly consistent across all games that the 270 does similar or better frame rates at 1080p to what the 260 does at 720p. With that I am expecting to see this pattern of PS4 doubling XBOs resolution to continue all generation. Add the changes Sony and Cerny added to the GPU and the gap could be even greater.

Obviously, emotions are high right now, and trash talkers are going to be trash talkers, but i think the reality of the whole thing is. No matter whether you choose to play on XBO, PS4, or PC, games are making a large leap forward and all three will be capable.
