I'll only be getting Mario that weekend for cost (and kind of having enough to play on 3DS) reasons. Zelda will be for Christmas, I expect.

I wonder which will sell better in the first week or two? Mario games sell better in general, but 3DS has the far bigger install base.

Yeah, it's like I said in a similar thread about a week ago... I literally don't know which one I'm going to pick up on November 22nd. I want both, but, I don't have time to play two games...

I might get Mario on the 22nd and save Zelda for Christmas-time

Great planning again Nintendo. The two biggest franchises launching AFTER the PS4 and the exactly same day as the X1. I'm sure these games will be great but aside hardcore Nintendo fans, nobody will even know these games are out

Says the person with the PS4 avatar? Trust me, people know, and will know, about these games.

You and I will know for sure, as well as gamers on the internetz which are maybe 5% of the potential buyers. What about the not so dedicated gamers?

Nintendo's marketing machine will be at full strength during Thanksgiving shopping week.  Signs, banners, ads, TV commercials everywhere.  People will know... 3D Mario is their biggest game of the year by far.

If they failed at letting people know that the 3DS and WiiU were NEW consoles I doubt about this one. But let's hope so.

If this were remotely true, no Mario or Zelda game would sell in the numbers they typically do. You're forgetting that Mario and Zelda are pretty much THE two biggest, most recognizable gaming franchises in game history, with Pokemon and Pac-Man (maybe also Tetris) being close.

Also, if nothing else, Nintendo most certainly will be doing a media-blitz for these two games specifically. Either way, they'll be in stores, people will know about them, and they come out right before Black Friday hits. It's a win-win either way.

Getting Mario, and the new Zelda 3ds xl bundle. Playing Mario as soon as I get home. I have to wait till Xmas for the other.

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

Shigeru Miyamoto

I should probably get my import copy of Lightning Returns around that date...

Yes Nintendo needs more advertising, it will sell millions anyway but even more if there was advertising.

Anyway i'll be getting zelda first because it comes out earlier were i live

I am not excited for those games, but I am happy for Nintendo fans that they have something to look forward to. They had a pretty tough year.

Enjoy it!

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
