They will increase.

Even with Japan moving more towards mobile gaming?  Also tbh I don't think either the Wii U, X1, or PS4 will capture the casual market like the Wii did.

They will drop to only 150million total

It is near the end of the end....

I expect a drop off

Because this generation went on for so long, I think there was a lot of overlap. Most of my friends at one time or another owned two or even three of the systems on offer. Therefore, I am not sure if the number of users actually grew.

In addition, recapturing the casual Wii and Kinect audience might be difficult as they have moved on to other things.

Therefore, I am going to guess that the numbers will actually go down.

Of course, with the current generation, variables like Netflix, motion controls, and so on were unheard of untested in 2005, so who knows.

yeah looks like there gonna be lower especially since theres quite a few more millionz left to add for this gen

if i had to guess i would believe it to look something like this

ps4 120M
XB1 70M
WiiU 30M

Ive personally been through 4 xbox 360's

then again in the previous gen I went through 2 ps2's because of the disc read error and 3 xbox originals because they just kept getting stolen :(

I have had bad luck thank goodness for nintendo.........oh waith in the 4th gen I have lost count on N64's I had, to be fair only two of the ones I did have I personally bought from a retailer.
